Cassidy Wray is a Chicago based AEA Stage Manager, Theatre Artist, and Thrifting Enthusiast. Born and raised in Lancaster Pennsylvania, she spent her early years reading books on the roof of her shed and feeding alpacas on her grandparents' farm. Her childhood goal was to be the next Hannah Montana and on the path to stardom she discovered an absurd amount of enthusiasm for detailed spreadsheets, routine, and solving problems before they cause chaos. She focused this passion into Directing and Stage Managing, graduating Cum Laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She is a musical theatre encyclopedia, naming songs within the first couple seconds and deep diving into shows you've never heard of.
Cassidy moved to Chicago with 2 weeks' notice after landing a job on the wardrobe team at Northlight Theatre. She is particularly jazzed about new works and fostered that passion on Run Crew of Marvin Quijada's The Dream King with Teatro Vista, as Stage Manager for brother sister cyborg space by Paul Michael Thomson at Raven Theatre and on the Wardrobe Crew of Jason Robert Brown's new musical Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil with Goodman Theatre.
She is passionate about living a full life beyond her work and is often found browsing (and sneezing) around an antique store or reading memoirs in the park. Cassidy believes in sharing freely and napping often. She sees no moral failure in forgetting to water her plants and will always opt to walk through a field barefoot. At the end of the day, she likes to say her life has turned into the Disney Channel Original Movie she's always dreamed of. But really, she's just a dreamer from a farm town who moved to the city with big goals and clearly detailed plans to get her there.
